Robert George Belladonna

Mr. Robert George (Bob) Belladonna, age 78, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.


A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Gainesville with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Bill Hoffman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 02, 2012 at the funeral home


Mr. Belladonna or Bob as affectionately known by friends was born in Bronx, New York and was the son of the late Saturno Belladonna and Anne (Bonas) Belladonna. He served in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America in a Leadership capacity for over 50 years. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents.


Mr. Belladonna is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ann (Glass) Belladonna of Gainesville; son, Tony Belladonna also of Gainesville; daughters, Terri Hall of Temple, GA and Gina Dvorak of Marietta. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Northeast Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America, Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 399, Jefferson, GA 30549 or the American Cancer Society 2565 Thompson Bridge Road Suite #114 Gainesville, GA 30501.
