Ronald W. Chandler

Ronald W. Chandler, age 76 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Friday April 27, 2012 at home following an extended illness and hospitalization.

Mr. Chandler was born December 15, 1935 in Banks County GA. He was the son of the late Garvin Ellis Chandler and Beulah Josephine Shirley and brother to the late Beverly Ann Chandler. Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife Joyce C. McNish of Flowery Branch and their daughters Vanessa Cramer of Charleston SC, and Veronica Emmett of Gainesville. He is also survived by his son-in-law Michael Emmett and three grandsons, Noah Hendley, Samuel Cramer, and Micah Emmett.

Mr. Chandler loved God and was a man of daily faith, hope, and charity. He was the cornerstone to his family and shared his knowledge and joy of living to help his future generations. He was a steward and caretaker of and loved nature. Although he was paralyzed for many years after a hunting accident, he loved all things outdoors and continued to hunt, camp, fish and plant trees and gardens. He loved to tinker with and repair engines, tractors and old farm and yard equipment. His career was spent working at General Motors as a UAW member. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

The family is having a private service and burial. In lieu of contributions plant a tree, a fruit tree or a garden.
