Lou Emma Hames Elsberry

Funeral services for Lou Emma Hames Elsberry, age 92 of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Habersham County will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. David Rose will officiate with interment to follow the service in the Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Elsberry died April 19, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona.

Born in Clarkesville on December 9, 1919, Mrs. Elsberry was the daughter of the late John R. and Sallie Hames, Sr. She was a graduate from Berry College with a B.S. degree in Education and she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elsberry is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Watson Elsberry, brother Robert Lee Hames and sisters Nannie Mae Morrison and Rachel Nichols.

Survivors include daughter Judy Elsberry Fish of Tucson, Arizona, brothers Reynold Hames of Finger, Tennessee, and Bill Hames of Roanoke, Virginia, sister and brother in law Ethel and Wandell Wells of Roswell, as well as five grandsons Douglas Wesley Fish and Brian Andrew Fish both of Tucson, Arizona, and great grandchildren Caroline, Benjamin, Zackary, and Eli.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 1
