Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Ms. Joan Arlene Ruppenthal DeBoard, age 68, of Jefferson, who passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Ms. DeBoard was born in Detroit, MI, a daughter to the late Edna and Fred Ruppenthal. Ms. DeBoard was a Homemaker and a Flight Attendant with Eastern Airlines. She also worked as a Paralegal, a Real Estate Broker in FL and GA, and was a licensed Insurance Agent.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in laws, Roger and Kim Alford of Jefferson, GA, Scott and Kristen DeBoard of Cumming, GA; Grandchildren, Cole and Caden Alford, Charlotte and Zachary DeBoard; Brothers, Terry Ruppenthal of Ft. Myers, FL and Rick Ruppenthal of Bradenton, FL.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am EDT on Friday, May 4, 2012 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Weeks officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Clubhouse of the North Minster Estates in Jefferson Ga.
