Dorothy Kate Monroe

Dorothy Kate Monroe, age 81, a lifetime resident of Forsyth County, GA, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Isaiah (Ike) Monroe.


Survivors include her children, Teressa (Rex) Cox of Cumming; brother, Clay Cowart; sister, Inez Howard; brother-in-law, J.B. Monroe; granddaughter and fiancé, Kristin Cox and Smith Marks; grandson and wife, Eric and Andrea Cox.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Cowart, Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 9 to 4 and 6 to 9 and Saturday from 9 until the hour of service.
