Bernard "Bernie" Benischek

Bernard "Bernie" Benischek age 69, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 14, 2012 after a brief illness.

A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Pastor James Kennedy of Grace Rock Church, Concord, Georgia will officiate.

Bernie was born in Bronx, New York to the late Frank and Elizabeth Benischek on June 10, 1942. Bernie was the last surviving member of his immediate family of 13 siblings.

He was, at the time of his death, President/CEO of Vanguard Security Associates, Inc. and lived in Atlanta for over 30 years before moving his family to Demorest, Georgia in 2008.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 42 years, Terry, daughter and son-in-law Gary and Elizabeth Crews, daughter Anne Benischek and granddaughters Claire Elizabeth Rogers and Sarah Anne Crews and a host of nieces and nephews. Bernie's deep love and devotion to his family was endless and Bernie always represented the love and life of Jesus Christ. He left his family a legacy of faith in God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
