Mary Elizabeth Marett Lord

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Marett Lord, age 87, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Willow Gardens Assisted Living.

Born February 17, 1925 in Fair Play, SC, she was a daughter of the late Albert Hall and Gladys Mozelle Vandiver Marett. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Wade Hampton Lord.

She was a member of the Toccoa First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Family members include, son and daughter-in-law, Albert M. and Shirley Lord of Spartanburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Keith Echols of Gainesville and Martha and Danny Meeks of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Michael and Kim Lord, Chrissy and Barry Felton, Carrie and Ashley Moore, Matt Trawick, Tim and Becca Trawick, Daniel and Michelle Meeks, Deanna and Jonathan Lodge, and Holly and Andrew Parish; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Lodge, the Rev. Billy Burrell, the Rev. Barry Felton, the Rev. Ashley Moore, and the Rev. Andrew Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Michael Lord, Matt Trawick, Tim Trawick, Jonathan Lodge, Daniel Meeks, Andrew Parish, and Barry Felton.

The Willing Workers Sunday School Class will serve as honorary.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm - 9pm Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
