Beverly Crow Chambers

Beverly Crow Chambers, age 80, of Cornelia, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012.

Mrs. Chambers was born in Cornelia on February 14, 1932, to the late Ben and Esta Wood Crow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Chambers, and her sister, Peggy Short. Mrs. Chambers was a college graduate with a B.A. Degree from Piedmont College. She was an employee of Su' Ci's for 2o years. Before she retired she worked at Apple gate, and The Gift Garden. Mrs. Chambers was a member of First Baptist Church in Cornelia and a former leader in Sunbeams, G.A.s and B.T.U. She was also a former Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Caren and Ted Ayers, Demorest, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Clayton and Julie Chambers, Mt. Airy GA, and Bob and Jenny Chambers, Atlanta, GA; sister, Barbara Huff, Cornelia, GA; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jay Ebers, Jason Ayers, Joe and Leah Ayers, Carson and Amy Chambers, Emily, Benton, Rebecca and Clayton Chambers and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Bobby Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Curt Frederick.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the funeral home.
