Joyce Barrett

Mrs. Joyce Barrett, age 78, of Dahlonega, GA, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega, GA.

Mrs. Barrett was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Nimblewill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. She was retired from the Sweet-Orr Company in Dawsonville, GA.

She was the daughter of the late Willie Berry and Hannah Grizzle Berry and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Barrett; brothers, Frank, Leon, and Newt Berry; sisters, Viola Fields, Beverline Beasley, and Cleo Rice.

Joyce is survived by sisters, Ella Garrett and Willie Mae Davis, both of Dahlonega, GA. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Garrett are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Nimblewill Baptist Church.

Rev. L.C. Bennett and Rev. Dean Pugh will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Friday from 3 PM until 9 PM and on Saturday until the time of service.
