Charles Stanley Horton, Jr.

Mr. Charles Stanley Horton, Jr., 86 of Gainesville died Tuesday April 3, 2012 at his residence.

Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, Mr. Horton had lived in Hall County for the past 35 years. He was the son of the late Charles Stanley Horton, Sr. and Pearl Stanley Horton. He was the owner and operator of the family business Horton Sundries before his retirement. Mr. Horton served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; Marilyn Horton, Gainesville; son, Charles Stanley Horton, III of Colorado; son and daughter-in-law; David & Nancy Horton, Cumming; step children; Debra and Neal Pittman, Gainesville; Buddy DuVall, Douglasville and Bill and Stephany DuVall, Loganville. grandchildren; Jana Horton, Mary Katherine Drescher, Elizabeth Pittman, Amanda Baird, Maggie, Sara and Stephen DuVall, great grandson, Zane Colby.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 7, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Martin will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.
