Vera Mae Crane Davis

Mrs. Vera Mae Crane Davis, 75 of Gainesville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday March 31, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Jackson County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Dock and Annie Fricks Crane. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker with a love for flowers and was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to spend time with her family.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Davis; sisters, Fannie Bell Stephens and Mardell Greenaway; brothers, Billy Crane and Wilbur Crane.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Marvin Davis, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law; Leisha and Ray Grizzle, Gail and Wesley Wacaster, Jan and Kevin Pool, Tina and Greg Hope, all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Blake and Kim Wacaster, Hoschton; Dustin Wacaster, Jodie Wacaster, Kelsey Pool, Brice Hope, and Abbey Hope, all of Gainesville. great grandchild, Aiden Wacaster, Hoschton; sisters, Monnie Chester, Royston; Annette Anderson, Jasper; Frances Baughcum, Lavonia; Marrell Bailey, Dahlonega; brothers, Carl Dean Crane, Dawsonville; Loy Crane Dawsonville; Gene Crane, Duluth; and Dockie Crane, Dawsonville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 2, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rodney Pilcher will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday April 1, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
