Ruth Miller

Mrs. Ruth (Miller) Miller, age 90, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at New Horizon's West Nursing Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Friday, March 30, 2012 at the funeral home.


Mrs. Miller was a native of Haddock, Jones County, Georgia, born on December 2, 1921. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gainesville where she was a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Miller, Sr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Miller; and five brothers and 2 sisters.


She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Simmie and Betty Miller of Gainesville; granddaughters and husbands, Michelle and Jesse Carter of Gainesville; Tammy and Warren Roper of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Cindy Humphries of Gainesville; great-grandsons, Jack Carter, Justin Smith and Cody Smith.


In lieu of flowers the family has requested donation be made to the First Baptist Church Ministry of Caring and Sharing 751 Green Street Gainesville, GA 30501.
