Leona McGee Collins

Leona McGee Collins, age 85, of Cumming, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Leona was a founding member of the Alpharetta, Old Milton Historical and Genealogical Society. She worked in Home Health Care for many years. Leona is preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Collins and her parents, Charles and Lucille McGee.

Survivors include her children, James (Janet) Collins Jr., Debora (Charles) West, Angela Collins, John Collins, Joseph (Amelia) Collins; sister, Paula Dowdy; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives survive.

The family will receive friends on Friday at Ingram Funeral Home from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Sutton officiating. Visitation will also be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Cordele, GA at Rainey Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00. A graveside service and interment will follow at Arabi Cemetery in Arabi, GA at 4:30.
