Little & Davenport Funeral Home announces the death of Betty Jo Motes, 78, of Gainesville.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 24, 2012 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The family will received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

Born in Cumming, GA on July 21, 1933, Mrs. Motes was a homemaker. She was a member of Free Chapel.

Mrs. Motes is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Motes and Bob Watkins of Clayton, Angela Wade of Gainesville, Audry and Sonny Lam of Gainesville, Beverly and Ricky Ngo of Gainesville; sons and daughter-in-law, Rex and Shirley Motes of Braselton, Dewayne and Cinda Motes of Gainesville, Doug and Teresa Motes of Gainesville, Ronnie and Angela Motes of Gainesville, Tim Motes of Cleveland; 44 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Motes is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Motes; son, Charles Junior Thompson; sister, Grace Kelly, Lois Braggs, Opal Wigley and brother, Ford Witherow.
