Roy L. Frasure

Mr. Roy L. Frasure, age 79, of Dahlonega, GA, died March 13, 2012.

Mr. Frasure was born in Margaret, Georgia to the late Joseph Frasure and Elzie Parker Frasure. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Molly Frasure; brothers, Grady Frasure, Benny Frasure ,and Joseph Frasure Jr.; sisters, Radie Bruce and Ruth Seabolt.

Mr. Frasure served in the U.S. Army for 23 years. His tour included Vietnam and Korea. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of Blue Mountain Masonic Lodge #38 F & AM in Dahlonega, GA. Mr. Frasure was a beloved husband, father, and step-father and was known to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Papa".

He is survived by his wife, Myral Waters Frasure, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and sons in law, Elizabeth Diane (Frank) Marchetta, Ridgefield, NJ. Sandra Frasure (Frank) Mascia, Greensboro, NC, Shelia Marie Dickey, North Miami, Florida.; stepdaughters, Charlotte Holtzclaw Smith, Lilburn, GA, Wanda (Leon) Holtzclaw Gilleland, Lilburn, GA; son and daughter in law, Ray Alan (Judith) Frasure, Rome, GA; stepson, Don Edward (Tara) Waters, Dahlonega, GA, David Walter Holtzclaw, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Bessie Patton, Jackson, SC, Betty Patton, Crevecoeur, Illinois, Ruby Lullathin, Winter Springs, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday March 15, 2012 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, Ga. Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Veterans Alliance Honor guard will provide full Military Honors. There will also be a Masonic graveside service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 14, 2012 from 2 PM until 8 PM and on Thursday until the service time at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Red Cross or Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Dahlonega.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of arrangements.
