Rita Garmon

Rita Garmon, age 56, Cumming, GA, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012. Rita enjoyed traveling and was an active member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Yonnie Cook; in-laws, Paul and Ilene Garmon; brother, Marcus Cook and step father, Sam Norris.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie Garmon; children, David (Christy) Watson of Cumming; Amy (Jason) Murphy of Cumming, Byron (Wanda) Garmon of Cumming, Randy Garmon of Dawsonville, Gregory Garmon of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry (Sandra) Cook of Eatonton, Kenneth (Jean) Cook of Dawsonville; sisters-in-law and husbands, Marsha (Tony) Phillips of Monticello, Kathy (Randall) Holbrooks of Cumming, Karen (Steve) Majors of Cumming; 10 grandchildren and other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Miller and Rev. David Tinsley officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 1 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m.
