Belle McKinzey

Mrs. Belle McKinzey, age 76, passed away on Friday March 09, 2012, after a short battle with cancer and heart disease.

Mrs. McKinzey was born to the late Ada and Richard J. McKinzey in Hoschton, Ga. She graduated from Buford High School in 1953 and lived for most of her life in Hall County, where she worked for the Brunner Co., Leece-Neville, and Sears Roebuck. Mrs. McKinzey lived and worked on St. Simons Island for five years before relocating to Lawrenceville where she worked with FDIC and retired from Centers for Disease Control. She was a dedicated member of Campus Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, William Jerry Shackelford, two daughters, Ravonda White Bargeon (Robin) and Kimily White Beck, two grandchildren, Adelyn Marie Bargeron and Thomas Greyson Bargeon, two sisters, Florine Lackey of Cumming; and Pearl Payne of Tucker, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Garrett and Cora Whisman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012, from 6- 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Campus Church of Christ, 1525 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road, Norcross, Ga 30093. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. A private burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
