Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday March 10, 2012 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Guadalupe Gloria Martinez, 69, of Gainesville. Rev. Brian Malcolm will officiate. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery .

The Family will receive friends Friday evening 5:00pm - 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs Martinez passed away Wednesday March 7, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Pharr, Texas and had lived in Gainesville a number of years. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors are husband Gilberto Martinez, Sr. of Gainesville, Daughters Rosalba Martinez, Maria Teresa Martinez, Christina Martinez and Allexies Martinez all of Gainesville, Sons Gilberto Martinez, Jr. and Juan Daniel Martinez of Gainesville. Sister Angelica Pena Alvarado, Brothers Jose Domingo Alvarado, Antonio Alvarado M.D., and Arturo Alvarado, 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
