Mary L. Puckett

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mary L. Puckett, age 86, of Jefferson, formerly of Norcross, who passed away Monday March 5, 2012. Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband, J.N. Puckett. For many years, Mrs. Puckett, along with her husband, operated the Dekalb County Cannery. She has resided in Norcross, Lavonia and Jefferson.

Survivors include her children, Annie Ruth and Cecil Reeves, Monroe, Allene and Gary Whaley, Nicholson, Clifford and Sue Puckett, Winder, Linda and Bob Sullivan, Ellijay, Bobby and Gloria Gray, Vero Beach, FL, 14 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6-8pm, at Evans Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Snedden officiating. The burial will follow at 2pm, Wednesday afternoon, in the Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross.
