Obituary Date: Monday, March 5, 2012

Billie A. Freeman, age 76 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012 at her son's residence following an extended illness.

Private funeral services and visitation are scheduled.

Mrs. Freeman was born February 8, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Wilburn D. Marchbanks and Nell Gilbert Marchbanks. She was a retired caregiver and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Edward Freeman, her son, Steve Garrison, her brother, Harold Marchbanks and her sister, Bette Dowdy.


Mrs. Freeman is survived by her son, Stanley Garrison of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Darlene Garrison of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Becky & Don Williamson of New Albany, Indiana, grandson, Jason Garrison of Gainesville, granddaughters & their husbands, Wendy & Will Carnes of Cornelia, Kim & George Coley of Lula, great-grandsons, Austin Garrison of Gainesville, Caden Carnes of Cornelia and Lukas Coley of Lula, sisters, Bobbie Hedden of Carnesville and Carol Miller of Englewood, New Jersey, brother, Ronald Marchbanks of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite # 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.
