Eugene Grindle

Mr. Eugene Grindle, age 71, of Dawsonville, Georgia died March 2, 2012 at the Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega, GA.

Mr. Grindle was a native of Lumpkin County. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.

He was the son of the late Lewis Young Grindle and Pauline Edge Grindle and was also preceded in death by a brother, L.Y. Grindle.

He is survived by his children, Eugene and Joanna Grindle, Vernal, Utah, John Grindle, Flowery Branch, GA, Merlin and Heather Grindle, Woodstock, GA, Lewis Grindle, Flowery Branch, GA, Brenadette and Ronald Faust, Lilburn, GA, Lindretta and Joe Kramer, Savannah, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Elizabeth Grindle, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Estelle Whitley and Imogene Wilson, both of Dahlonega, GA. 7 grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12 Noon Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Philippi Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday from 6 PM until 8 PM.
