William A. "Bill" Perkins, 66, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday February 29, 2012 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born November 18, 1945 in Hartsville, SC to the late Norman and Ruby Perkins, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 21 years having moved from Cumming. Mr. Perkins was a retired truck driver for Airgas in Gainesville. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Perkins.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Perkins, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Amanda and Danny Pruitt, Dawsonville; Crystal and Shane Pursley, Braselton, Elise Perkins, Dawsonville; son, William Perkins, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, James and Emma Lou Perkins, Dahlonega, Melvin Perkins, Hartsville, SC, Ronald and Charmaine Perkins, Hartsville; grandchildren, Taylor, Tatum and Trey Pruitt, Jacob, Kristen and Kelsey Gooch; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Sunday March 4, 2012 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
