Don W. Lewis

Mr. Don W. Lewis, age 76, of Oakwood passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2012 from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Shannon Wingo and Rev. Roger Abernathy will officiate and Rev. Cecil Thomas will officiate the Graveside Service. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Lewis was born December 6, 1935 to the late Charles and Lura Lewis of Opal, Arkansas. He was a Deacon at Northside Baptist Church in Gainesville and was a retired Forester with the United States Forest Service.

Survivors include: wife, Billie Lewis; son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Patsy Lewis of Clermont; daughter, Patti Lewis of Oakwood; daughter & son-in-law, Karla & John Schrader of Gainesville; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; grandchildren, Corey Schrader, Dylan Lewis, Cole Schrader & Dakota Lewis; mother-in-law, Claudine Copher of Mena, AR; 2 brothers-in-law & families in Arkansas; and several nieces & nephews.
