Geneva Scarborough

Mrs. Geneva Scarborough, age 95, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Northridge Health and Rehab. Mrs. Scarborough was born in Jackson County to the late Paul and Bertha Edwards Massey. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Blue Bell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scarborough was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Allan Scarborough and sister, Imogene Banks.

Mrs. Scarborough is survived by her son, Leroy Scarborough (Ruth) of Gainesville; daughter, Loretta Wood-Tucker (Rick) of Commerce; grandchildren, Melissa Tingle (Charles) of Flowery Branch, Donna Wood of Commerce, Anthony Wood (Michele) of Nicholson, Debra Rhoden (Stephen) of Danielsville, Dennis Wood (Kathy) of Ridgeley, WV, Tony Scarborough (Melody) of Gainesville, and Terry Scarborough (Alecia) of Gainesville; step-grandchildren, Richard Tucker of Cumming and Beth Bloom of Conyers; 12 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, March 1 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Tony Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Wilbanks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
