Lila K. Orr

Mrs. Lila K. Orr, age 78, of Flowery Branch, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2012 from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Bill Compton and Rev. Paul Wade will officiate and Rev. Dave Channell will officiate the Graveside Service. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Orr was born September 3, 1933 to the late Thurman and Gladys Kilgore of Gainesville. Mrs. Orr was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church and was retired from the Flowery Branch Post Office where she had worked for 30 years. She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law; Eddie Whitfield; and brother, Jimmy Kilgore.

Survivors include: husband of 60 years, Franklin "Bo" Orr; son, Scott Orr of Sandy Springs; daughter, Lori Whitfield of Flowery Branch; brother, George Kilgore of Hoschton; grandchildren, Whitney Carlson, Jessica Mull, Ansley Orr, Megan Whitfield and Craig Whitfield; and step-mother Etheleen Kilgore of Gainesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501.
