Mary Jane Dooley

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Mary Jane Dooley, 67, of Commerce who passed away early Wednesday morning at the Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lonzo and Ida Ruth Gilstrap Mathis.

Survivors include her children, Mary Ann Dooley of Commerce, Ruth Elizabeth Grier of Braselton, Kimberly Annette Dooley of Commerce, grandchildren, Daniel Julian Howard Grier and Jonathan Eugene Grier, siblings, Christine Mathis of Clayton, Lorene House of Statam, Betty Ann Deaton of Pendergrass, Betty Jean Lee of Dry Pond, Vickey Dianne Clark of Pendergrass, Willie Lee Mathis of Jasper, half sisters, Pauline Williford of Madison and Jennifer Garris of Braselton, caretakers, David and Lorie Saylors of Commerce, and former husband, Luther Lee Dooley.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 3:30 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Gooch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
