Ernest Earl Landers

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2012, in the chapel of Mason & Ward Funeral Home for Mr. Ernest Earl Landers, 65, of Gainesville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Rev. Roger Dunagan and Rev. Richard Thomas will officiate. A private interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.

A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late Owen Landers and Flora Vickers Landers. He was owner and operator of Newport Foundations. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of New Holland Baptist Church. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Landers is survived by his wife, Marianne Landers of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Phil Clark of Gainesville and Stefanie and Gary Williamson of Demorest; grandchildren, Taylor Clark, Lauren Clark, Erin Clark, Jasmine Williamson, Braeden Williamson; mother, Flora Landers of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Richard Jacobs of Charlottesville, VA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Shepherd Spinal Center, Shepherd Center Foundation, 2020 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.
