On Saturday, February 11, 2012 as Jesus looked over his rose garden, He spotted a beautiful rose. He whispered softly, "Annette come and go with me to my Father's house".
Mrs. Annette Lipscomb Studivant was a native of Hall County, Georgia, born February 23rd. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lipscomb, Sr. Mrs. Annette has five sisters, Mrs. Mamie Studivant, Mrs. Dorothy (Pete) Weaver, Mrs. Ludessia (Billy) Mattox, Mrs. Elgie Burce and Ms. Viola Lipscomb; two brothers, Reverend William (Shirley) Lipscomb, Jr. and Mr. Wallace (Janice) Lipscomb; sister-in-law, Mrs. Gussie (Bobby) Cox; three brothers-in-law, Mr. John (Betty) Studivant, Mr. Elie (Wilma) Studivant and Mr. George (Beatrice) Studivant.
As a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Mrs. Annette served as a choir member, mother of the church, lay speaker, lay leader, secretary, financial secretary, and church historian. She was a woman of great strength and encouragement to all as she gave praise and honor to her Lord and savior.
On February 19, 1966, Mrs. Annette Lipscomb was united in marriage to Edward A. Studivant. They were blessed with six children. Mrs. Annette was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Reverend Ruben Israel Lipscomb; two sisters, Mrs. Arleen Birdette and Ms. Elseree Lipscomb; one daughter, Ms. Marilyn Teasley; one grandson, Mr. Demetrius "Shun" Studivant and three brothers-in-law, Mr. James Birdette, Mr. Thomas Burce and Mr. Curtis Studivant.
Mrs. Annette will always be cherished by her husband, Mr. Edward Studivant; five children, three daughters, Ms. Lynnette Studivant-Birdette of Cornelia, Georgia, Ms. Stephanie Rucker of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Ms. Monica Brown of Gillsville, Georgia; two sons, Mr. Colonel Studivant of Gainesville, Georgia and Mr. Maurice Studivant of Suwannee, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren, Allen (Shamika) Studivant, Courtney (Kimberly) Teasley, Monquise (Tremaine) Willis, Jennifer Studivant, Dwight (Courtney) Rucker, Derrick Rucker, Devanta Studivant, Marquis Studivant, Shilivia Studivant, DeAndrew Studivant, Jala Studivant, Rori, Raini, Raeshawna Brown; eleven great-grandchildren, Demetrius, Jaylen and Isaiah Teasley, Jada and Kadence Rucker, Zaivian Willis, Bryston, Devanta, Jr., Miracle, Faith and Jada Rose Studivant, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1:00 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Gillsville, GA. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
