Edith Beatty

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Edith Louise Hayes Beatty, age 88, of Pendergrass, who passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Mrs. Beatty was born in Walhalla. SC, a daughter to the late Carl and Lessie Orr Hayes. Mrs. Beatty worked at Macklanburg-Duncan in Gainesville for 20 years and was a member of the Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by her children, Lamar Beatty, Wayne Beatty and Glenda Johnson.

Mrs. Beatty is survived by her grandchildren, David and Lisa Beatty, Pendergrass, Shayne and Kim Johnson, Baldwin, Buddy and Margaret Johnson, Pendergrass and Andrea Lewis, Gainesville, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive.

A memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00AM at Mountain Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Graham. The family will receive friends before the service. A private family interment will follow at a later time.
