Mary E. (Philyaw) Hall

Mary Elaine (Philyaw) Hall, age 65, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Gainesville with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Monday, February 13, 2012 at the funeral home.

Mary was born in Hall County October 12, 1946 and was the daughter of Sara (McCracken) Philyaw and the late Terrell Philyaw. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of East Hall High School and Hall School of Nursing. She devoted her life to the care of others, with over 30 years of service in the medical profession. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Terry Philyaw.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ferrell Hall of Gainesville; mother, Sara Philyaw also of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Debra Hall, Kris and Laura Lee Hall; brother and sisters-in-law, Richard and Teresa Philyaw; mother-in-law, Mary McCommon of Warner Robins, GA; Judy Hall of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Judy Eidner of Winder; granddaughters; Nicole, Mikayla and Kathryn Hall; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Micanda McCommon, Mark McCommon of Warner Robins; niece and nephews, Chad and Yvette Philyaw, Zack and Miranda Philyaw, Cale and Alisha Philyaw, Sean and Gretchen Philyaw; West and Piper McCloskie; and special family members, Rich and Holly Brannon, Jones and Paula Phillips; and a number of other family and friends also survive.
