Peter (Pete) Goldsmith Burke

Mr. Peter (Pete) Goldsmith Burke, age 79 of Gainesville Ga., passed away peacefully on Sunday February 5, 2012.

Pete was born on April 1, 1932 to Albert C. and Elizbeth Goldsmith Burke, at Emory Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. He graduated from Druid Hills High School and attended the University of Georgia. Served in the U. S. Army during the 1950's. Pete worked and retired from Dittler/Moreno Press. He enjoyed genealogy and also civil war history along with his wife Mona Burke.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents as well as a two sisters Patricia and Virginia , and two brothers ,Albert C. Burke Jr. and David Burke. Mr. Burke is survived by wife of 24 years Mona Boulware Burke. Other survivors are son Chris (Beverly) Rousseau, son Albert C. Burke III, step son David (Teresa) Boulware, step daughter Felecia (Andy) Anderson, and step son John (Muriel) Boulware. Also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren survive Also surviving is Pete's twin sister Stella Feagle of Stone Mountain, GA.

Graveside services will be held at 11A.M. on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at Alta Vista Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday February 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
