Arlis Braswell

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday February 5, 2012, at Spirit Baptist church for Mr. Arlis Braswell, 64, of Gainesville. Rev. Barry Payne, Rev. Danny Ray Martin and Rev. Richard Picklesimmer will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.

Born on June 21, 1947, he was the son of the late Louis and Estora Stapleton Braswell. He was a member and deacon at Spirit Baptist Church in Gainesville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Shane Braswell, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. Braswell is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Gaines Braswell of Gainesville; daughters and son in law, Lisa and Jeremy Allison of Gainesville, Tammy Braswell of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ryan Braswell, Arlis Jacob Grizzle and Dustin Shane Grizzle.
