Teresa Kay Miller

Teresa Kay Miller, 49, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday February 1, 2012 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

A native and lifelong resident of Hall County, Teresa was as a bookkeeper for Self and Self General Contractors in Dahlonega and also for a number of others. She was saved, and along with her family attended Cool Springs Baptist Church for a number of years. For the past several years she was an active member of Chestatee Baptist Church. Teresa was a very special, loving and caring person who had a smile and kind word for everyone. She had faith that prayer was the answer to every situation. Teresa cherished her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Teresa is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde and Louise Townley; Benton and Ruby Gober, Floyd and Callie Allen.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Miller, Gainesville; son, Kyle Miller, Gainesville; parents, John R. and Mary Townley Gober, Gainesville; sisters and brother-in-law; Cheryl Allen, Gainesville; Trudy Gober, Dawsonville, Sheree and Gary Elliott, Murrayville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janice and Ray Miller, Gainesville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Janie Miller, Cleveland; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Robby Boothby, Clarkesville; special great niece, Lannah Stover, Ellijay and special great nephew, Nathan Vaughters, Jacksonville, NC; several other nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

A celebration of life for Teresa will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday February 5, 2012 at the Cool Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. David Skinner, the Rev. Powell Sailors and the Rev. Dean Townley will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday February 3, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again Saturday February 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.



In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Chestatee Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
