Ella Irene Dyer

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Feb. 3 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Ella Irene Dyer, 86, of Gainesville. Reverend James Ransom, Reverend Douglas Gaines and Reverend Scott Strickland will officiate.

Burial will be in New Holland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Feb. 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wards Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dyer passed away Feb. 1 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Dyer was a lifelong resident of Hall County and was the daughter of the late Harold B. and Ethel Chumbler Morris. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Dyer and a grandson Jeffrey Dewayne Dyer.

Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Robin & Paula Dyer, Maysville; Stepson, John Carl Dyer, Gainesville; daughters and son-in-law, Sharon & Marvin Harris of Gainesville, and Deirdre & Chris Blackwell of Gainesville; step daughter, Melba Cunnard, Alabama; sister Venita Hegwood, Gainesville; 10 grandchildren , 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
