Donna P. "Dee" Gabriel

Donna P. "Dee" Gabriel, of Sugar Hill, GA, died Monday, January 30, 2012. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Hamilton Mill funeral home.

The Celebration Service of Donna/Dee's life will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Blackshear Place Baptist Church, Oakwood, GA. A Committal Service will follow at 3:00 PM at the Winterville Cemetery in Winterville, GA.

Dee realized her life calling as a RN. She worked with pediatric oncology, AIDS and hospice patients. In 1993, she received an award from the city of Atlanta for her work with the AIDS children. But her first love was her Lord Jesus Christ. Having a heart for missions, she served Him in Russia, Brazil, Thailand, India and then in her heart country, Kenya. Donna is survived by her Mother, Edith Wood Gabriel, Winterville, GA. Brother and Sister In-law, Marvin and Anna Fountain, Clayton, GA. Brother, Mike Gabriel, Winterville, GA. Best Friend/Sister, Melanie Zbinden, Sugar Hill, GA. along with several Nieces and Nephews. She was considered and loved like family by the Zbinden family. Donna was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church, Oakwood, GA.
