Opal Foster Patterson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Opal Foster Patterson, age 86, of Jefferson, who passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Griffin, GA, a daughter to the late Zona Lawson Foster and the late Mary Vinson Foster. Mrs. Patterson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, and was a member of the Samaritan Sunday School class. Mrs. Patterson was also a member of the Norcross Woman's Club. Her Husband Reuben Thomas "R.T." Patterson, and her brothers, James L. Foster, Virgil A. Foster and Charles A Foster, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Mari Beth and Sonny Hartsock, Pendergrass, son and daughter in law, Thomas and Debbie Patterson, Jefferson, grandchildren, Matt and Ashley Hartsock of Augusta, Micah and Amy Hartsock, of San Antonio, TX, Andrew Patterson, Emma Patterson and Anna Patterson, all of Jefferson, great grandson, Micah Hartsock, San Antonio, TX.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 3pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Montgomery, Rev. Derek Watson and Dr. Michael Helms officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens. The visitation will be held on Saturday evening from 6-8pm at Evans Funeral Home.
