Ruby Wilson Wiley, age 75 of Lula, fought her fight and finished her course and went to be with her Lord on January 24, 2012, at her residence.
Born in Banks County on September 01, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Hallie and Fannie Merritt Wilson. She was a homemaker and an active member of Living Word Tabernacle. Mrs. Wiley enjoyed mowing the lawn, cooking, gardening but most of all caring for others. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Claudie Craven and Maudie Bennett and brothers, Eugene and Joe Wilson.
Survivors include loving husband of 59 years, Julian Wiley; daughter and son-in-law, Miriam & Allen McElwaney of Gainesville; son, William Wiley of Lula; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray & Freda Wiley and Phillip & Greta Wiley all of Lula; sister, Barbara Payne of Gainesville; brothers, William Wilson of Homer and Donald Wilson of Gillsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, January 27, 2012, at Living Word Tabernacle in Lula with Rev. Glenn Compton, Rev. Bobby Carter and Rev. Harold Pettis officiating. Interment will follow in Clemmons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Wednesday and Thursday.
