Annie Pruitt

Mrs. Annie Pruitt, age 62, of Dahlonega, GA died Monday, January 23, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Pruitt was a native of Tampa, Florida who had lived in Lumpkin County for more than 35 years. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a custodian in the Lumpkin County School System, and also worked at the Pine Tree Plant in Dahlonega, and at Southern Switches.

Annie was the daughter of the late Jackson Lowe and Ida Bell Lance Lowe and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharena O'Neal; grandson, Matthew Pruitt; brothers and sisters, Loy Mincey, Coy Mincey, Cecil Joyce, Johnny Mincey, Lucy Miller, Mack Mincey, Lorene Crump, Herbert Mincey, Pauline Turner, and Jackie
Lee Lowe.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pruitt, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Becky and Wayne Mooney, Dahlonega, GA, Tammy Lovell and Jerrold Lovell, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Jeremy Roberts, Jennifer and Josh Larson, Kelly Mooney, Bradley and Jana Reece Fain, Eric Dover, and Phillip Dover; great-grandchildren, Taylor Williams and Desiree Reece; sister, Hazel Beck, Dahlonega, GA. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Allen Passmore will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega on Tuesday from 2 PM until 9 PM, all day on Wednesday, and again on Thursday until the time of service.
