Charles E. Dunlap

Charles E. Dunlap, age 77, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia with his loving wife and family by his side.

Charles was born on June 12, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Charles M. and Thelma Lucas Dunlap.

He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Charles retired from Packard Electric in 1992 as a pipefitter. For many years he owned and operated Newton Falls Plumbing in Ohio and Dunlap Plumbing in Clarkesville, Georgia.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary Dunlap, whom he married on February 12, 2000; children Debbie Shevel of Boardman, Ohio, David (Geri) Dunlap of Newton Falls, Ohio; stepchildren Douglas Cole of Clarkesville, Georgia, Perry Cole of Kentucky, Robert (Lisa) Cole of Clarkesville, Georgia, and Donald (Jeanetta) Cole of Gainesville, Georgia; brother, Earl Dunlap, sisters Doris Workman, and Edith Kashinsky; and nine grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Charles is preceded in death by brothers Donald, Delmar, Delbert, Norman, and Harry Dunlap; and sister Shirley Baker.

Charles wishes were to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
