Dorothy Van-Alstine

Dorothy Van-Alstine, 74, of Gainesville passed away Friday January 20, 2012 at New Horizons West Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 24, 2012 at 2pm in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. James Dumas officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until funeral hour at the funeral home.

Mrs. Van-Alstine was born January 27, 1937 in Corning NY to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Golden. She was retired from The Food Mart where she was in sales. Mrs. Van-Alstine was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland.

She is survived by her husband Gerald Van-Alstine of Gainesville, several nieces & nephews, and a host of other relatives.
