Ellen Charlcie Heykens

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Ellen Charlcie Heykens, age 89 of Cleveland. Mrs. Heykens passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at her residence . Private services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Heykens was born in Plant City, Florida on December 11, 1922 to the late A. Gordon Carlton and Charlcie Emma Holt. She retired from Sligh Junior High School where she was the Secretary to the Principal. She and her late husband Henry Heykens lived in Tampa until their retirement in 1986, afterwards moving to White County. Mrs. Heykens was a faithful member of Cleveland United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Heykens is preceded in death by her sister Hazel Olsen.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Doug and Kathy Heykens, Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Ruth and James Arant, Lexington, South Carolina; brother Sam Carlton, Dallas, TX.. Mrs Heykens is also survived by her seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
