Ruth S. McClure

Ruth S. McClure, age 92 of Suwanee, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Mrs. McClure was born in Pittsburg, PA and attended Duke University where she met her husband. She was an avid equestrian, a great lover of animals, and an active member of the Shakerag Hounds Hunt Club of which she had been Honorary Secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Dr. John N. McClure, Jr.


Survivors include her daughter, Virginia McClure of Lakemont; sons, Neil McClure of Cumming, David McClure of Nicholson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kelley and Jack McClure; 2 step-grandsons, Clay Chatham and Cason Chatham and 11 great grandchildren.



Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 22nd at 3:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alice Wood officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
