Donald Oliver Newberry

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Donald Oliver Newberry, age 75 of Sautee. Mr. Newberry passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012.

A celebration of life for Mr. Newberry will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2012 from Helen Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joan Stevens officiating.

Mr. Newberry was born May 19, 1935 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Oliver Wendell Newberry and Virginia Watkins Simmons Newberry. He was retired after many years of civil service with the United States Air Force at Warner Robins, Georgia where he was a Budget and Cost Analyst. Mr. Newberry is preceded in death by his sisters, Margot Rogers and Mickey Danford

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Newberry, Sautee; daughter and son in law, Lisa and Tim Lawrence, Grayson; daughter, Donna Guborgh, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Chase Pappas, Tyler Lawrence, Nick and Alex Pappas, Maegan Lawrence and Katy Lawrence

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service

Flowers will be acknowledged, however memorial donations are requested in memory of Donald Newberry to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 743 Spring St., Gainesville, Georgia 30501
