Mary Louise Patterson

Mary Louise Patterson of Alpharetta, GA went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2012 after battling congestive heart failure. Born in Baltimore, MD, April 6, 1937, she was the only child of James and Lillie Robinson.

Mary Lou was an all-Maryland field hockey player in high school and an excellent ballroom dancer. Mary Lou attended Randolph Macon Women's College for two years and met and married Charles F. Patterson.

Together they have four children and eleven grandchildren who survive her. They are Catherine Patterson Donahoo and her husband and six children of Collierville, TN; Charles F. Patterson, III and his wife of Alpharetta; James C. Patterson and his wife and three children of Alpharetta; and Robert O. Patterson and his wife and two children of Alpharetta.

She was devoted to her family and friends and cherished by them. She did whatever she could to help someone. Mary Lou was a member of Johns Creek United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held there on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 4:00 pm to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Johns Creek United Methodist Church.
