Annie Ruby Barron Hames

Funeral services for Annie Ruby Barron Hames, age 88, of Clarkesville will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. Rev. Furman Lewis and Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate with interment to follow the service in the Church cemetery.

Mrs. Hames died January 9, 2012 following a period of declining health.

Born in Batesville on August 6, 1923, Mrs. Hames was the daughter of the late Joseph Ketron and Lillie Wilson Barron. Mrs. Hames was a graduate of Clarkesville High School and was retired from International Outerwear where she was a seamstress. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hames is preceded in death by her husband C. Grady Hames.

Survivors include daughters Annie R. Hames of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Linda Hames Smith (Ronald) of Lake Oconee, Martha Hames Rohletter (Joel) of Marco Island, Florida, son Ricky D. Hames (Jan) of Clarkesville, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, as well as 1 great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
