Deborah Sue Cheek

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday January 16, 2012, at Lanier Hills Christian Church North Campus for Deborah Sue Cheek, 55, of Gainesville. Rev. Jason Ladd and Rev. Wanda Atkins will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Born on July 22, 1956, in Alpharetta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Geneva Bullard Daniel. She had worked for Holiday Inn in Gainesville for many years. She was involved with the Under the Bridge Ministries in Gainesville and she attended Lanier Hills Church in Gainesville.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Daniel and sister, Barbara Taylor.

Mrs. Cheek is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Emily Cheek of Gillsville; daughter and son-in-law, Cherrie and Kenny Simmons of Gainesville; son, Jacob Cheek of Gillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Michael Fields of Gainesville; sister, Shirley Daniel of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Carolyn Daniel of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Howard Pitts of Blue Ridge; sister, Ginny Daniels of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Chelsea Cheek, Chase Cheek, Sierra Cheek, Riley Broome, Grace Cheek, Cheyenne Smith; fiancée, James Wise of Gainesville; close friends, Jason Ladd, Maria Ladd, Michael Langefeld, Wanda Atkins and Heylen Ladd.
