Christine Moon

Mrs. Christine Moon, 94, of Gainesville went home to be with Jesus, Friday Jan. 6, 2012 following a brief illness.

Mrs. Moon was born December 6, 1917 in Lula to the late Joe Watson and Lula Deadwyler Moon. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church, where she had served on the Usher Board and Mission Dept.

She displayed a servant's spirit and devoted her life to the care of others. She worked as a CNA at several nursing homes in the area and served at a private sitter for many families in this area until 2010.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Hall Co Optimist Club.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Mae & Daniel Varner of Gainesville, two grandsons, Kelly Randolph of Gainesville and Daniel (Lee) Varner of Dublin. One great grandson Jordan Randolph.

Homegoing services will be 11:00am Tuesday Jan. 10, 2012 at the Springfield Baptist Church in Lula, with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery in Lula.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Monday Jan. 9, 2012 at the funeral home.

The family would like to give thanks to the Hospice Gold Team at Northeast GA Medical Center. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Northeast GA Medical Center Hospice.
