Tammy Lynn Dowdle

Mrs. Tammy Lynn Dowdle, age 48, of Dahlonega, Ga. died January 2, 2012.

Tammy was born in Commerce, Ga. She lived in Dahlonega for most of her life. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Junior Dowdle.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Junior Dowdle, Dahlonega, Ga.; daughter and fiancé, Brandy Tucker and Michael Standridge, Dahlonega, Ga.; son and daughter in law, Scotty Dowdle and Sandy Sullens, Dahlonega, Ga.; parents, Larry and Jennette Dalton, Jefferson, Ga.; brother and sister in law, Tony and Donna Dalton, Jefferson, Ga.; sister and brother in law, Audrey and Hollis Hitt, Flowery Branch, Ga.; special mother in law, Elizabeth Dowdle, Dahlonega, Ga.; grandchildren, Windy Tucker, Ansley Dowdle, Mason Dowdle, and Landon Dowdle. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday January 5, 2012 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Robert Martin will officiate.

Interment will follow in Word of Life Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 6 PM until 9 PM, all day on Wednesday until 9 PM, and again Thursday until the service time.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
