Charles V. Blankenship, Jr.

Mr. Charles V. Blankenship, Jr., age 73, of Flowery Branch passed away January 1, 2012, at Willowwood Nursing Center, after an extended illness.



Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Flowery Branch with interment at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA at a later date.



Mr. Blankenship was born October 21, 1938 to the late Charles V. and Bonnie Blankenship, Sr. Mr. Blankenship was a retired Meteorologist for the United States Air Force where he served for 42 years.



Survivors include wife of 55 years, Janyce A. Blankenship; sons and daughters-in-law, Ken & Melinda Blankenship of Flowery Branch, Charles V. & Verla Blankenship, III of Seffner, FL, Howell O. & Amy Blankenship of New Port Richey, FL, and Keith F & Debi Blankenship of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
