Gene C. Potts

Gene C. Potts, 66, of Dawsonville passed away Monday December 19, 2011 at his residence following a short illness.

Born June 3, 1945 in Atlanta, GA to the late Joe and Maudie Potts, he had lived in Dawson County for since 1991 having moved from Cumming. Mr. Potts was formerly employed by Tatum Farms and was a U. S. Army veteran of Viet Nam where he served as a medic.

Surviving are his companion, Terry Ruth Adams, Dawsonville; and special friends, Laura and Troy England, Dawsonville, Becky and Steve Benefield, Ellijay, Terrill and Connie Adams, Dawsonville, Danny Adams, Dawsonville, Dwayne Adams, Canton, Randy Adams, Jasper and all their children.

Memorial services will be held Saturday January 7, 2012 at 11 o'clock at McKees Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate.
